HomeSights’ BOYL program brings a traditional approach to a semi-custom home building process. This program involves future homeowners choosing exactly where they want to live and call home. The HomeSights team recognized a need in the community for an initiative like this, and they took action to benefit local future homeowners.
Jason Harper, Hunter Quinn Homes VP of Sales and Marketing, said, “The BOYL program was started to give customers the option of building one of our award-winning floor plans on a site that’s not part of a traditional new home community. People would come into our sales offices and ask if we would build a home for them on some land they owned, and at that time we had to say no. We realized that there was a need in the market for those landowners that wanted to build a new home and we started building out HQ HomeSights.”
This program differs from other real estate options in the Lowcountry because it offers buyers a chance to choose their own homesite. Whether there was land in a buyer’s family that they hoped to build a home on or they previously purchased property outside of the bustling city life, this program offers a chance to use that land and build your dream home on it.

The HomeSights team at Hunter Quinn Homes strives to make the BOYL process as simple as possible for buyers; beginning with a chat with an online consultant, leading to a meeting with New Home Consultants’, Courtney Alexander and Kim West.

After the initial meeting with a sales representative, buyers will then embark on the collaborative building process.
Kim West laid the simple process out for us:
1. First, the buyer and HomeSights team start painting the vision in broad strokes and hone it in from there.
2. Then, the team gathers information from the buyer and various sources on the land. They work out the details of what works for the buyer’s lifestyle, land & budget.
3. Now, it’s time to get to work. Permits are gathered, materials are ordered and the build begins. The entire process takes about a year during which there are several meetings and weekly updates once the physical, vertical build begins. The team truly keeps the buyer abreast of the progress, process & timeline.
