When Aaron Beasley talks about a lifetime warranty, he’s talking about a lifetime warranty.

No excuses. No questions asked.

If the patio furniture he sells at Palm Casual is damaged in any way – even if it’s the customer’s fault and even if it was purchased 40 years ago – he’ll fix it at absolutely no charge.

Even better: If you buy patio furniture from Palm Casual, you have a month to try it out and break it in. If after 30 days you aren’t completely satisfied, you can return it for a full refund, even if the furniture was custom made. Palm Casual allows buyers to customize every purchase. Be it patio furniture or wicker furniture, shoppers can choose the style, finish and cushion colors.

If you can find a better value or it doesn’t fit your space or it’s not the right color or any reason at all, you get a refund,” said Beasley, a partner who runs the Palm Casual showroom on Johnnie Dodds Boulevard in Mount Pleasant. “If it’s blue and you wish it were green, we’ll switch it. You can have 29 parties and, on day 30, if you don’t like the furniture, we’ll refund your money.

The catch is, we want you to tell someone something good about us.”

How can Beasley make such an ironclad guarantee, especially when the company is selling its furniture at 35 percent to 50 percent below retail? Palm Casual, a 40-year-old, family-owned and operated business with locations in South Carolina, Georgia and Florida, not only sells high-quality cast aluminum and wicker furniture to local customers and other furniture stores around the country – the company manufactures its own furniture in factories across the Southeastern United States.

Beasley pointed out that in addition to its own 18 stores, Palm Casual sells its top-of-the-line patio furniture to more than 500 stores in the U.S., most of them on the East Coast. Kroy Crofoot started the business in Orlando in the late 1970s. Beasley, the best friend of one of Crofoot’s five sons, has worked in the family-owned business for 12 years, since he graduated from college. The company, he said, reflects the attitude and lifestyle of its founder. All 18 stores are run by family members and friends.

We’re not a fancy company,” Beasley said. “We’re still a small organization in that manner. But I believe we have the largest selection and most variety on the showroom floor of any company that sells outdoor furniture in South Carolina.”

Palm Casual’s 4,500-square-foot showroom in Mount Pleasant is, indeed, packed with a wide variety of furniture perfect for outdoor living, but Beasley pointed out that custom-made furniture at Palm Casual doesn’t cost a penny more.

Regardless of whether you buy off the showroom floor or have your patio furniture built to your specifications, it will be made to last in the Lowcountry’s sunny and moist environment.

All the framework is powder-coated aluminum. It’s never going to rust,” he said.

Beasley pointed to the proof, a chaise lounge in front of the Mount Pleasant store.

It’s been there since the day we opened eight years ago,” he said. “It’s designed to be in the sun and the weather. I take it inside only during hurricanes.”

Palm Casual is located at 605 Johnnie Dodds Blvd. in Mount Pleasant. To learn more, visit or call 843-881-0041.
